Braxton Cook – Commissioned Artwork I had the privilege of meeting Braxton Cook, the acclaimed American singer, saxophonist, and songwriter, while working at the Marriott. During our conversation, he discovered I was an artist and asked to see my portfolio. Impressed by my work, he invited me to his show while on tour for his album "Who Are You When No One Is Watching." That evening I sketched him live as he performed, later refining the sketch into a polished digital line work piece — bold, ink-pen inspired, with touches of realism. Braxton loved the final result and commissioned it as official tour merchandise, featured on shirts and bags. Recognized for performing alongside Rihanna, Mac Miller, and Jon Batiste, Braxton is a celebrated artist in his own right, and it was an honor to have my work become part of his campaign.
Braxton Cook – Birthday On March 27, I had the privilege of creating a special birthday drawing for Braxton Cook. Knowing how deeply he values his family — a theme that runs through much of his music, often inspired by his wife and child — I chose to reflect that connection in my work. The piece is a digital pen-line drawing capturing Braxton with his son at the piano. This intimate sketch-style pen detail portrait highlights not only his artistry but also the love and devotion that define him as both a musician and a person.
Braxton Cook – Jazz-Inspired Digital Painting This digital painting was created as a personal exploration inspired by Braxton Cook’s artistry and his album Who Are You When No One Is Watching. Unlike my earlier commissions, this piece was not requested — it was born from my admiration for his music and the connection we had built. Rendered with bold, authentic brushstrokes, I chose a color palette reminiscent of the jazz era: rich, blended hues that evoke both the vibrancy of jazz and the mood of his album. The piece captures Braxton playing the saxophone, blending realism with expressive painterly textures to reflect the spirit of his sound.
Braxton Cook & Band – Sketch Series Returning to the pen-line sketch style that Braxton especially admired, I created a special series featuring his entire band. The simplicity and immediacy of the line work reflected both his personality and the energy of his music. This sketch series was embraced by Braxton and his team, who loved how it captured their collective spirit. The artwork was added to their merchandise line, including T-shirts, and became part of their broader campaign. I was honored to see my work featured not only in their merch but also within promotional videos and photos for the tour.

Digital Painting – Firstborn Portrait This commission was a celebration of a family’s firstborn daughter, a child they had long awaited with love and anticipation. I was invited into their home to spend time with her, observing and capturing reference images to preserve her essence even in her small movements.
The portrait began as a delicate line sketch and evolved into a hyper-realistic digital painting, emphasizing fine details and lifelike depth. The final piece reflects not only her features but also the tenderness and joy that surrounded her arrival. Digital Painting – Baby Ivania This commission was created to celebrate the arrival of Ivania, a beautiful firstborn daughter whose birth was especially significant to her family. Her mother requested the portrait as a gift for her husband, to be displayed in their home as a symbol of their love and the blending of cultures in their first generation together.
The piece portrays Ivania as a newborn, drawn in delicate hyper-realistic detail to honor the beauty and purity of her earliest days. With the family’s verbal permission, the portrait was originally shared publicly; however, to respect privacy and the sensitive nature of the subject, the version shown here has been intentionally blurred.
